Meet Boji the Therapy Dog.
When you start therapy with me you'll get to meet my adorable 8-year-old Goldendoodle, Boji. He is the sweetest and brings the magic! He is a certified therapy dog through International Alliance of Therapy Dogs.

At Lioness Counseling Care, healing doesn't always happen through words alone. Sometimes comfort comes in the form of a wagging tail, a warm presence, and a gentle nuzzle.
Our therapy dog Boji is an 8-year-old Goldendoodle who is calm, affectionate, and always ready to offer free snuggles. Many clients find that having a therapy dog present helps reduce anxiety and creates a sense of safety and connection during sessions.
Research shows that interacting with a therapy dog can lower stress hormones, promote relaxation, and increase feelings of comfort and emotional well-being. For children, teens, and adults alike, a therapy dog can make the counseling environment feel less intimidating and more welcoming.
Whether curled up nearby during a difficult conversation, offering a comforting paw during emotional moments, or simply bringing a smile to your face, our furry team member has a special way of helping clients feel seen, supported, and at ease.
We like to say that he brings a little extra magic to the therapy room — along with unconditional acceptance, a calming presence, and plenty of love.

Boji is with me most days, so in-person sessions may not be the right fit for you! However, I offer Telehealth sessions Monday-Thursday and would love to connect with you!
